Tilt and turn windows

Our pvc-u tilt and turn windows are designed from impact modified pvc-u for strength whilst the profile depth is 70mm, which ensures superb insulation and rigidity. As well as being fully reinforced, to our system designers specification. Our products incorporate a locking system, which can provide up to twelve locking points on each opening section. The ingenious locking system provided on our tilt and turn range allows the window to tilt inwards simply by turning the handle through 90 degrees. But if the window is then closed and the handle is turned another 90 degrees the whole frame opens fully inwards for cleaning/ fire escape. In addition all corner joints are fusion welded at 240 degrees to ensure that all these joints are completely sealed against the elements.

Security

Our products incorporate a galvanised steel locking system, which can provide up to twelve locking points on each opening section. In addition all the windows are internally beaded to ensure that the glass and the glazing beads cannot be removed from the outside. Key locking handles complete the security of this product and ensure that you can be safe and secure in your home.

Glazing

Our entire range of tilt ‘n’ turn windows are fitted with 28mm sealed units, which would normally consist of 4mm glass – 20mm airspace – 4mm glass. Our 20mm air gap is the largest available and provides the best combination of heat insulation and sound insulation. The technical standard part J of he building (Scotland) act 1959 came fully into force on the 4th of March 2003. This made it the responsibility of the householder to ensure that any replacement window work carried out at your premises meets the new building standards. An important element of these standards is the installation of low emissivity (low-e) glass in your windows. Whilst low-e glass is slightly more expensive than old fashioned glass used for windows, there will be long term savings to the house owner in better insulation and reduced heating costs.

In conclusion our tilt and turn frames provide a safe solution which will allow you to clean your own windows and at the same time will provide a quick exit, in the unfortunate event of an emergency, from your home.
