Our specification will help by ensuring that not only the products you buy will be manufactured and guaranteed to the appropriate standards but also that the fitting and installation will also be guaranteed.

B.S.I. KITEMARK

This certification has been around for a long time with its familiar logo and guarantees the performance under several relevant tests.

Products are submitted for independent testing and a certificate issued to companies for each approved product.

To achieve the award not only is the completed product tested and approved but also each and every component.

Scotia have been awarded a Kitemark license to B.S. 7412 -Licence number KM25328 for our windows

REGISTERED FIRM
Firms are registered and provided with a unique number after independent inspectors approved by B.S.I. have assessed their process and their quality controls.

Scotia has been approved as a Registered Firm. The scope of our award covers the manufacture of windows and doors and the installation of windows, doors, conservatories and roofline products to ISO 9001 FM25331.

British Board of Agrement (B.B.A)
The British Board of Agrement certifies a wide range of building products as being fit for the purpose. Tests include a durability benchmark giving customers the security that not only are the products fit for the purpose but also that they will stand the test of time.

GLASS AND GLAZING FEDERATION (GGF)
The Glass and Glazing Federation (G.G.F.) provide a Customer Charter ensuring that all their members maintain minimum standards for product quality and performance. This is embodied in a Code of Ethical Practice which all G.G.F. members must sign up and adhere to. A Deposit Indemnity Fund provided by the G.G.F. protects your deposit before and during the period of the contract.

Scotia has been a member of the G.G.F. since 1985 and meets all their criteria for approval.

SWISH APPROVED INSTALLER
Swish is one of the longest established extruders of cellular pvc-u building products, having commenced manufacture in 1976. Few companies can offer the wealth of experience gained throughout those thirty plus years. In order that their top quality products could be delivered to the end consumer and be installed to standards devised by Swish, an Approved Installer network was set up. All approved companies must sign a legal agreement covering survey standards and installation practices. All installers must renew their Approved Installer licence every twelve months.

Scotia has been a Swish Approved Installer since 1999 and meets all their criteria for approval.

TRUSTMARK
Trustmark is a new scheme supported by Government, the building industry and consumer groups to help you find reliable and trustworthy trades to make improvements and repairs to your home.

GUARANTEE GUILD
The Guarantee Guild is a F.S.A approved insurance scheme offered at no charge to the house owner from participating suppliers and installers, which ensures all guarantees are honoured.
