Windows : Casement

Pvc-u double glazed casement windows
Our range of pvc-u windows is designed to provide a modern replacement to timber casement windows. They are constructed from impact-modified pvc-u for strength and ability to stand the wear and tear we would expect over a long period of time. We also utilise a 70mm frame depth which once again ensures minimum disruption when your old windows are replaced, as the frame depths are almost identical. In addition the 70mm frame depth provides strength, rigidity and superb insulation. Our windows are fully reinforced to our system designer’s specification and all of our pvc-u frame joints are fully welded at a temperature of 240 degrees, which means that your home is safer, more secure and superbly insulated.

Security
Loss of treasured possessions and damage to property are obvious consequences of burglary, but the invasion of your home by a complete stranger can be particularly disturbing for you and your family.

For your safety and security, all of our casement windows are fitted with internal glazing beads to ensure that intruders cannot gain access by removing the glass sealed units. Our stainless steel friction hinges are also designed to provide high security and are tested to 50,000 opening cycles.

Our window locking system incorporates an ingenious twin cam-locking device, which can offer double the security of many of our competitors. To maximise security each twin-cam locking device moves in the opposite direction of each other. Our security features are completed by our push button/ key locking handles, which allow you to lock your windows in either a closed or a venting position.

Glazing
All our casement windows are fitted with 28mm sealed units, which would normally consist of 4mm glass – 20mm airspace – 4mm glass. Our 20mm air gap is the largest available and provides the best combination of heat insulation and sound insulation.

The technical standard part J of he building (Scotland) act 1959 came fully into force on the 4th of March 2003.

This made it the responsibility of the householder to ensure that any replacement window work carried out in their home meets the new building standards.

An important element of these standards is the installation of low emissivity (low-e) glass in your windows. Whilst low-e glass is slightly more expensive than old-fashioned glass used for windows, there will be long-term savings to the homeowner in better insulation and reduced heating costs. As we manufacture all our own windows you determine the styles and designs aided, where requested, by our experienced sales team who will be on hand to offer advice.

Our casement range comes in a variety of colour options:
