Sun Rooms and Extensions
Adding extra space to your home can begin with far more questions about what size and type of product provides the best suited addition to your home. Since we began installing our products back in 1983 we have always taken pride in the fact that we listen to our customers needs and the range of products we offer reflects the desires that they have as well as snugly fitting with the our product portfolio.
To this end, since 2007 we have extended the range of products that our clients can choose from by adding home extensions and sun rooms. We realize that in the same way that some people may choose a new car some might prefer the convertible option, another the panoramic sunroof and another the standard version and with this in mind we developed our range so that our unique heated conservatories will allow our customers to be bathed in light by utilising either polycarbonate or glass roofs. Our glass roofs have been further developed to incorporate the very best insulation available retaining heat in the conservatory throughout those winter months and an optional coating which is built in to the glass at time of manufacture on the external glass surface to provide functional self cleaning properties as well as solar controls to reduce the buildup of heat, glare and restrict the amount of ultraviolet light that can bleach furniture and fixtures.
Sun Rooms
Our Sun Rooms offer a halfway house between a conservatory and an extension in the respect that the roof will be traditionally tiled or slated but large glazing areas in the sidewalls of the room ensure that your Scotia Sun Room will always retain a light and airy feel. The Sun Room can also be versatile from the point of view that it can be used as a playroom, office, games room, dining area, sitting room and bedroom to name just a few uses however every design is unique and our sales consultant will listen to your brief and design a product around your needs whilst guiding you through all the relevant building standards. A Scotia Sunroom can also be specified with a vaulted ceiling providing another unique design option ensuring that there is more space within the room and further enhancing that airy feeling so many of our clients feel is a big feature of our conservatories. More light can be added by adding a single or multiple Velux roof windows to your design. (See Velux photographs below).

Extensions
Our range of home extensions provide a traditionally designed solution to that age old problem of adding extra space complete with all those finishing touches that you would expect from Scotia such as high quality craftsmanship and full supervision throughout the building process. We can build one or two storey extensions and again we are happy to ensure that the design meets not only with your approval but the relevant building standards. Our home extensions are often designed to add extra living space such as bedrooms, second lounge, bathroom dining areas or office and often the design can incorporate a combination of these. Once again our expert consultants can guide you through the authorization process and provide you with a design that will be a sound investment as well as ensuring that you will have extra space that will provide you with pleasure for many years to come. Key features of our home extensions include open plan walk through from your home to extension (see open plan photograph below) and options to include Velux roof windows and vaulted ceilings.
Garage Conversions
Converting an existing garage is a very economical way of adding to your living space. Scotia will provide a complete service including advice on design and any necessary alterations to complete your project.
