Scotia composite doors have a long established reputation for superior product quality and style.
Our GRP composite doors offer superb strength, security, thermal insulation and a stunning appearance that’s built to last and when you buy a new composite door from Scotia you can rest assured you are investing in a top quality product.
The door skins in our composite doors are manufactured from Thermo Set Fibreglass which is a superb material for a door due to the strength, rigidity, thermal efficiency and the very low thermal expansion, ideal in south facing locations. The appearance of the door is unique due to the fact that an American Oak natural timber door is used as a mould for the Thermo Set Fibreglass and the results are stunning as the grained effect can be seen in fine detail and of course the graining runs exactly as it should, the effect is stunning!
The door leaf (opening section) is 44mm thick and sandwiched between the two door skins is a high density foam core which is ODP Zero (Ozone Depletion Protection) and CFC free this level of insulation can provide a U value as low as 0.8W/m²K and offers insulation six times that of a traditional wooden door.
The doors are fitted as standard with a five point locking system (2 hook and 3 deadbolt) anti drill five pin cylinder plus a cylinder guard (to prevent “bumping”) and 3 adjustable high security hinges. The security and performance standards of the door have been recognized by the award of PAS23/24 and further proof of their security resulted in approval by Secured by Design, who are owned and operated by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). Secure by Design standards are proven to reduce the risk of crime by up to 75% and this recognition provides a clear indication of the security offered by this product.
