Sales
Our sales team are based in showroom sites in Ayrshire, Glasgow
and Lanarkshire and they will be delighted to visit your
home where they can provide you with sound advice regarding
the products most suitable to meet your brief as well as
perhaps suggesting some alternatives that may be suitable.
This
visit is essential as it allows us to evaluate site conditions
and visible challenges that may need to be resolved in
order that we can design the perfect conservatory for your
home. We will then provide you with a firm price for the
specification.
Order registration
You will receive a written confirmation of your order
which will outline typical timescales for each part of the
planning and installation process.
Permissions
To ensure the best possible service for our customers
we employ a number of architectural technicians who will
carry out a detailed survey of your home. Our technicians
will check the details of your order and within a few days
of the survey we will provide you with a set of detailed
drawings of your new conservatory in order that you can approve
these designs. Once we have received your approval your applications
will be lodged with the local authority for all the necessary
permissions. Our architectural technicians will liaise with
building control/planning officers to ensure that your conservatory
progresses through this process as smoothly and efficiently
as possible.
Installation
All our builders, joiners, electricians, plumbers
and plasterers are fully supervised by your installation
manager who will visit your site regularly to ensure quality
standards are maintained and that your project is progressing
on schedule (weather permitting). Your installation manager
is on hand to answer any queries relating to your installation
and we will also update your local authority building control
officer of the progress of your project in order that he/she
may visit.
Customer Liaison
In addition to the site visits from your installation manager
our installation co-ordinator will be in touch to ensure
that you are fully satisfied with your installation and
any concerns or queries will be highlighted to your installation
manager.
Completion
When your new conservatory is complete your installation
manager will arrange for a final inspection to ensure it
meets our exacting standards and that you are fully satisfied
with your installation. After the final inspection takes
place we will contact the relevant building control department
to apply for your completion certificate. Depending on the
workload of building control officers this may take a few
weeks to come through.
We would also be delighted if you could fill out our customer
satisfaction survey and e-mail photographs to us of the finished
project which can be viewed in our gallery/ customer testimonial
section.
Product / Installation Guarantee
All of the building work, pvc-u double glazed windows and
doors and of course the conservatory roof is covered by
a fully comprehensive 10 year insurance protected guarantee.
Terms and conditions apply and are available on request.
Many
of our competitors abandon their guarantee by removing
work such as permissions, builder work, joinery from their
responsibility on the contract agreement, unlike Scotia who
are fully responsible for all the work organised on your
behalf. This sometimes does not seem a major problem but
many customers have contacted us for assistance when a problem
arises and they have discovered that the company they dealt
with only organised the builder work with a firm of builders
and no written guarantees were provided. Invariably the builders
have moved on and the company who organised the builder work
are unable to offer any assistance.
With Scotia you have complete protection against this
scenario as all permissions, builder work, joiner work, electrics,
plumbing etc contracted to us by you are covered by our guarantee
to ensure that you can have trust, confidence and complete
peace of mind in the service we provide.
