The growth in conservatories sales was made initially utilizing polycarbonate roofs however over the last two years glass roofs are winning the battle for customer’s choice in their roofing material.
The growth in glass roofed products has meant that new and innovative glass products such as our Solar Control / Self Cleaning roofs have been introduced which provide additional benefits such as reducing bleaching effect of UV rays, helping to control the internal temperature and providing a revolutionary glass coating which uses sunlight and rainwater to activate the unique self cleaning properties of the glass. One other factor that will drive customers towards either glass or polycarbonate is noise, glass roofs are considerably quieter during rain than polycarbonate and the two sound clips below can let you hear the difference between the two.

Polycarbonate Roofs
Our polycarbonate roofs provide a strong, well insulated and economic method of glazing conservatory roofs. Our polycarbonate roofs are available in a number of colour options including clear, bronze and opal.
Insulated Glass Roofs
Our Insulated Glass roof offers superb insulation by incorporating an outer sheet of toughened safety glass, a cavity which is filled with argon gas for additional insulation, an inner pane of toughened safety glass which further insulates your home with a unique low emissivity coating and finally our unit incorporates an “Edgetech Spacer” which ensures a u-value of 1.1W/m²K. Our insulated glass roofs can be fitted in clear and bronze or grey tinted.
Solar Control / Self Cleaning Glass Roofs
Solar Control / Self Cleaning conservatory roofs offer the ultimate solution to all your conservatory needs. Our roof utilizes all the benefits of our Insulated Glass roofs but adds Activ™ self cleaning glass, a permanent coating which lasts the lifetime of the glass and uses daylight and rain water to break down and wash away organic dirt from exterior surfaces. Our illustration shows how the self cleaning glass reacts with sunlight to break down organic dirt and finally when this unique glass comes in contact with rainwater or even water from a hose it causes the water droplets to combine into a sheet and wash the dirt away.
This new roof also provides you with a unique solar control coating which helps to keep internal temperatures cool whilst maintaining excellent light transmittance. This coating also substantially reduces UV rays which can fade furnishings and fixtures. Our Solar Control / Self Cleaning Glass is available in either neutral or a gorgeous blue tint.
